So I just put this computer together:
Intel i5, 16GB RAM, AMD HD 6970, Win 7 64...
Hard Drive setup: Samsung EVO 120GB, Hitachi 750GB
When I finished installing windows, I went to add my Hitachi 750GB as a backup partition (Labeled X: Drive).
This is what I found: System Reserved
Disc 0 is my SSD drive, which I wanted all windows files to install on. Somehow, a system reserve partition was installed on my Hitachi backup drive (called "System Reserved").
Now, this isn't a huge deal because 1) It's only taking up 100MB of storage, and 2) That 100MB is now on a different drive than my already small SSD.
My biggest concern is: By having the "System Reserved" partition placed on the wrong hard drive, am I going to notice any performance decrease than if I would have had it on the SSD?
If so: Is there any way that I could move this partition to my SSD? At this point, since I haven't installed any major programs, would it be worth it to re-format, and disconnect my Hitachi (insuring that all files get installed on the SSD)?
Thoughts?
Thanks!
