Is 450w enough for my rig?

I'm building a new gaming computer for games like bf4, titanfall an ghosts and I was wondering if 450w psu would be enough? Or should I upgrade to 550? My components are: i5 4670, gtx 760, asus H81M-E motherboard, 8gb ddr3 ram and a corsair 450w psu.

Personally I would go with about a 600w PSU for that build, you are not leaving yourself a lot of headroom especially if you start overclocking that processor. You'll be running a 450w power supply flat out almost all the time to power that. Even a quality power supply will have it's life shortened under constant load not to mention the heat generation.

Use this http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp to give you a rough idea of how much power your machine will draw, and then add at least 100w on top of that.

Ah for some reason I didn't read the specs correctly, however a GTX 760 still pulls 160w on it's own under full load. This is only my opinion of course but I really think when you are running a gaming graphics card you really should look at a minimum of 600w. But that's just me, I'd much rather have too much output than not enough. Why put the PSU under more load and generate more heat?

i5 4670 doesn't consume much power...
if you have only 1 hdd then your 450W is more than enough for 760..
nvidia recommends 500W because nvidia is assuming that you have 8-core amd cpu and 2 hdds..
don't listen to nvidia's recommendations....

If you're looking for something future proof (something that will last multiple builds), I would recommend a 650 watt power supply. That's what I got in my rig right now (which is a i7 4770K, GTX 760 (being shipped), 1 HDD, 1 SSD)

That's just an opinion though. The 650 works really well for me, and i'm proud of it.

Yes but the cost difference between 450w and 600 - 650w is not massive and I think it's worth it. I'm a strong advocate of only using what you need, and not paying over the odds and the build that the OP is going with is a shining example of that. However, after recent experiences with power supplies and building some machines for other people I am also a strong advocate of a decent power supply. If you buy a power supply that meets your requirements you will be constantly running that power supply over 50% of it's output. A higher rated power supply will only draw the power it needs so costs no more to run but it would in theory be more effecient if it is running at say 30% capacity and will produce less heat.
