New RAM, Corrupted downloads?

Hello everyone. I bought 2x4GB sticks of PNY Optima RAM and suddenly all my downloads (.exe files) won't run after downloading. WinRAR wont extract any files and everything has suddenly become corrupted ! Could this be related to my new RAM being bad?

This sounds more like a virus/malware infection. Time for a full anti-virus/anti-malware scan.

I suggest (in addition to your anti-virus program) that you use Malwarebytes (get the free version at www.malwarebytes.org). Download, install, update and perform a complete/full scan of your system. Remove everything it finds.
