I need a graphics card for MAYA 2014 and gaming.

I'm buying a new PC for Maya 2014 ,mudbox, motion builder and softimage besides gaming of course, and it's really hard to choose a consumer graphics card to suit my needs as I can't buy any professional graphics cards as they are not sold where I live and I do want to play some high-end games as well, so the question is should I get an AMD r9-280x which has a better open CL support card or nvidia geforce 760/770 which have cuda cores ?! which of these cards will have the edge in 3D modelling ?!
If any one has an experience with any of these cards on Maya 2014 ,please tell your experience.

Actually I don't know ,some people say that it's better with cuda and some say that it is better with open CL ,that's why I can't decide !

Bookmarks suggest that Amd has the edge over nvidia in Maya ,but benchmarks don't necessarily show the results of the real world use.
