Hi,

can you please help with this problem. I bought new MB because my old one was in really bad shape (bios started at second restart only). So now I have problem with new MB and my graphic card 6950. They are not compatible or something.
I tried to change memories (1 stick at a time, got 3x2GB), changing PSU (500W for 600W) didnt help. Checking every connection if its ok. Changing pcie slots. Changing monitor cable.

Well after changing graphic card with my old AMD 4850 it started with no problem.
So I thought the problem is with 6950, well it wasn't because it run with no problem in other pc.

So the question is can be these two hardware pieces are incompatible?

PC:
Phenom II X4 945 3Ghz
memory corsair 3x2GB
2 sata disk
amd 6950
gigabyte 970a-ds3p
500W PSU/600W

Solution
big no no no for extreme series from cooler master psu..

fake label, low quality and high ripple output, low quality taiwan and thailand(?) caps, well, that's why this series as known as "crapmaster"..

well, this series can only deliver up to 295 watt output with good quality, if you push it more, it's fail..

that's why your 6950 is not working..you have a bad psu..:)

get a better power supply..
