4670K @4.6 Seems Stable @ 1.280V

Is this a safe voltage to use on Adaptive? I dropped it to 1.255V but PC just locked up when I started to move files to a USB whilst playing BF4.

I have a 4670k and I personally wouldn't feel comfortable pushing mine beyond 1.3v for 24/7 usage. What are you using to test stability?

Main thing I would like to know is, what is the safest maximum voltage I can go to and what kind of life span decrease should I expect? I plan on attempting a 4.8 OC with RAM going from 1600 to 2100.

Well I have voltage on Adaptive so my test will consist of playing BF4 whilst having either background operations on the go or another game running. I saw on an ASUS youtube video that running a stress test whilst voltage is on adaptive can push the volts too far.

It can do, yeah. However, you need to run some proper stress testing. I suggest you set your voltage to manual and run AIDA64 to test for stability. Once you know it's stable, you can change it back to adaptive.

That will do fine. Thanks a lot. What sort of life span drop should I expect? Let's say it's clocked to 4.6 stable at 1.280, would it still last 3+ years without a hitch?

You'd probably see twice that, at least. CPUs are hardy and the voltage increase isn't that much.
