Is a Corsair CX 500w enough for this system?

FX 6300 (I will not overclock)

Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

MSI Radeon HD 7870

Corsair Vengeance 8GB 2x4

WD Blue 500GB HDD

Kingston 60GB SSD

NZXT Sentry 2 fan controller

More about : 500w

Yeah but barely. Recommended would be 550-650 watts for the safe zone.

500W is enough but 550W will be good for safer side.
and which 500W PSU are you going to buy ?

Corsair Cx 500w would be good enough but won't really give so much of a headroom for overclocking, SLI/Crossfire, extra ram, hdds and sdds.

CX models from corsair don´t have very good build quality ...
XFX core edition pro 550w would be great choice for your system...
it´s relatively cheap and reliable unit made by seasonic with japanese capacitors...
