Hi everyone,
as the title suggests im having problems overclocking my CPU.
I am using the following:
i7 4770k
Noctua NH D14
Asus Maximus VI formula
Following LinusTechTips advice on his "Haswell i5 & i7 Overclocking guide" video i decided that i could try overclocking. I dialed in:
Sync all cores
CPU Core Ratio 46
DRAM Frequency DDR3 1600mhz
Vcore Manual mode 1.200V

After i saved the changes and the computer rebooted, it went smoothly at first until after Windows 8.1 loaded it hung for awhile, then it became a blue screen and showed a message:"WHEA_UNCONTROLLABLE_ERROR " then proceeding to restart. But after loading to 80% it just caused a reboot loop, forcing me to use the clear CMOS button. Following that i tried again but this time i forgot what i did but I only remembered dialing in CPU Core Ratio 44 and Adaptive mode and it booted up for me. After running Prime95 for about 5mins it crashed and started looping reboot again. I continued trying again and again after but to no avail.
So anyone who can please help! :)
