Hi, so my situation is as follows... 2 weeks ago I purchased a gtx 690 to add to my system for quad sli. Also around that time I updated my system from windows 8 to 8.1 and updated bios of mobo to 4502.

I started to get random freezes where my mouse would continue to move but cant click anything or open task manager. After hard reboot, event viewer doesnt show any issues.

So since I also have a gtx 760 in my setup to handle an extra monitor and 2 TVs, im wondering if my 1200watt termaltake psu is enough for this setup. Any suggestions?

I think if it was PSU issue it should be shutting down.

I was just thinking if the PSU not giving enough power, computer might start and if voltage fluctuates can cause a component to act up and possibly freeze.

also to note the gtx 760 is powered by a cable that takes 2x ide power ports due to not enough pcie cables from mobo. im no expert in psu but just wondering do 2x ide power ports add up to enough amps to power this graphic card?

Quick try would be removing the 760 and see if symptoms disappear!

ill give that a try by unplugging the power from the gtx 760 and see if it happens. since this occurred completely random times, ill leave it unplugged for 2 days and get back with the results.
