So, I've changed motherboard, CPU and RAM on my computer and now whenever I try to turn it on, the fans spin a bit then shut down (after about 0.5 secs). I checked all the cables about 100 times but the problem still persists.

Any ideas?

Hi..
giving us at least the details of the cpu, motherboard and ram would of been more than appreciated (it's kind of important)

Did you plug in the 4 or 8 pin properly (close to the cpu)
What wattage it your psu? Is it sufficient for your build ?
Try booting without any memory, do you get beeps ?

Power supply: CoreXStream 500W
CPU: Intel i5 4670
Motherboard: Asrock Z87 Pro3
RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 8Gb

I plugged the 8pin properly, and I didn't get any beeps anywhere (don't know where are they supposed to come from anyway)

I use nVidia GT8800 card. I just tried removing it and then power it up, however it still wouldn't boot (it actually shut down even faster and more quiet).

hmm no beeps? or warning displays? may be faulty parts. mobo or cpu would be my guess but it will need to be professionally tested. or if the old parts and new are compatible change one at a time til it works then return/replace the culprit.
