Ok toms let's see if you can help me out with a little dilemma i'm having. Here's my current setup

MOBO: FM2-A75MA-E35
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760k Black Edition
GPU: MSI Gaming Edition GTX 760
HDD: WD 1TB Blue
Case: Elite 430 black
CPU Cooler: Hydro H80i

Now my main question is whats the best 5.1 sound card for my current motherboard? I have around 60-80$ USD to spend and want a sound card that has optical spdif for true surround sound. I believe but am not quiet sure that my current mobo has onboard 5.1 but obviously i want something that sounds really good and is true surround sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First off, SPDIF is about the WORST way you can get 5.1, since Dolby/DTS are horribly compressed formats, which only exist because uncompressed audio is too large to fit on DVD's.

Anyway, at about $80, only two real contenders exist: The ASUS Xonar DX, and Creative Soundblaster Z. DX is older, but a proven design, Z has better specs, but costs more.
