I'm thinking about purchasing an XFX AMD 7870 video card. My current set up is as follows:

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R 2.0
RAM: 16GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600
CPU: AMD FX-4100 ocd (4.1GHz Turbo)
PSU: Corsair CX750W

I also have two hard drives, and two dvd/blu ray drives. But my question is, will I have enough power with all of these components to also run the 7870 video card? If not, is there a video card that would draw less power and have similar specs (2GB, 256bit) that I could purchase instead?

Thanks in advance!

You will have plenty of power, you even have enough head room to run crossfire 7870x2 if you want.

Thanks for the advice, is there an easy way to find out if you're power supply will support everything you have running? Other than asking on Tom's Hardware of course?

Yes go to newegg.com, and under computer hardware on the left, you will see a power supply wattage calculator on the right. Just select all of your specs on the drop down menu then click calculate.
