BF4 runs fine when I just have my 24" Widescreen Ultrasharp monitor hooked up. But I also run a server now so I hooked up and older dell monitor that isn't Widescreen so that I can see my procon layer while playing. BF4 is fullscreen on my Ultrasharp while i just have my procon program open on my other monitor. They are both plugged into my GTX 670 2GB GPU, the ultrasharp via HDMI and the other via DVI-D. When I first load into a game, about 30 sec in the game will window out because the windows color scheme message pops up, and I have click back into the game (you all know how infuriating this is. It doesn't happen again unless I click or window out of the game and then once I go back, after 30 seconds, bam. COLOR SCHEME. What I want is to never have the color scheme to switch to basic ever, even when I'm in game. I find my situation unique because this doesn't happen when I unplug the second monitor. I can window in and out and never get the popup.

Here' my PC setup:
GPU: GTX 670 2GB
CPU: I7 2600K
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z68X
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8
Watercooled
Windows 7 64-Bit Ultimate

Sorry for the long explanation, just wanted to be thorough.

(I have tried the Action Center, and the Advanced System Settings Performance options fixes to no avail)

Under normal circumstances, windows should be automatically downgrading the color scheme from aero to basic when the fullscreen application is launched. This is to squeeze out a little better performance from your existing hardware. It shouldn't be doing this 30 seconds into the game however. It should...

Message says "Do you want to change the color scheme to improve performance?" with the three options

Well as I said I tried the first option with no luck, and as for the second I believe what disabling the desktop composition will do is revert to windows basic when in in game which i don't want because i like to window out and do some things while in game and i don't want to see windows basic when i window out.

There should also be an option on the pop-up to keep your current scheme and to remember the setting.

2 more things: Are your drivers up-to-date? And is windows up-to-date? In research, I'm seeing a bug like this popping up way back in 2010...
