So.. I was going to purchase a radeon hd 7870 GHz edition... They're sold out almost everywhere (within a reasonable price). I have the power supply on its way ( EVGA 500B 80 plus bronze certified 500w power supply... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438012)

now because I cannot get that card before Christmas it seems, what are some other alternatives around the same level? I prefer nVidia geforce... but as you can see by my original choice I'm fine with Radeon. my motherboard has a PCI Express 3.0 x16 slot, so any card with that size will fit.

though it needs, emphasis on needs, to be under $190. money is a little tight right now.

Thanks! if you need any more info just ask.

The R9 270's and R9 270X's are pretty much the same cards with different clock and memory. So if you are paying that 'full' price might as well go with one of the newer ones.

XFX Core 7870 Seems to list in stock.

I notice that that ones "Effective Memory Clock" is 1200MHz whereas the other is 4800MHz... is that a big difference in the card? I'm not the best when it comes to GPU specs.

Thank you! I will probably go with the XFX Core one due to it's price now that you poined that out!
