New Build , Gpu not recognized.

Hi. I recently build a new gaming pc, but my GPU can not be recognized although the fans are spinning.
Here are my specs.
Mobo: Asus m5a97 evo r2.0
CPU: AMD FX 8320
Ram: G.Skill ripjaws X 8Gb
Ssd: Samsung Evo 840 120Gb
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue
Gpu: Gigabyte R9 270x
Psu: Ocz Zt 750W modular
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 installed on the ssd

I downloaded and run the Auto-Detect wizard from Amd and it could not detect my Gpu and when i open the Device manager ,it only shows the Standard Vga Graphics Adapter.:??:

Does anyone now how to make my pc recognize my Gigabyte R9 270x.

I downloaded the drivers from amd.com and it did not work.
I installed the drivers from the Gigabyte CD and it worked . silly me :pt1cable:
But another problem occurred : when i select the 1920x1080 resolution my monitor has black gaps on the sides, top and bottom.
When i select the 1600x900 resolution it shows the image in the whole monitor screen.
Why is that happening?
