new laptop battery HALP!

so i ordered a new 6 cell lithium ion battery for my laptop since my current one is draining pretty fast. I've read on multiple sites that you should initially charge the new battery for 12 hours and then completely drain it. and then charge it then completely discharge it another TWO times.

So my question is, do i really need to drain it 3 times? Also what does COMPLETELY drain mean? my laptop is set to hibernate at 5% battery life. So should i disable it and let it run to 0%?

To answer the last part yeah all the way till the computer just shuts down not hibernates. I am not sure about the charge and disable thingy, if the manufacturer doesn't say you need to do that then I see no reason. I DO KNOW you should keep the battery out TILL your planning to travel, then plug it in to charge BEFORE you travel. IF you keep it in all the time it just sits on your desk it will overcharge and overcharge, breaking the battery down till it doesn't work (drains fast/ doesn't hold a charge anymore).
