Just purchased subject case and am puzzled about the use of one of the items included in case. They are attached to a support bar across the back third of the case. The attachments are about 3" long and 3/4" wide, and seem to be made from spring steel as they are flexible. They have a small piece of rubber attached to their ends. There are 4 of them and they can be moved on the bar across the width of the case. Pictures of them can be found here:
