Should play anything on the market rather well, might not run 60fps max settings on BF4, but should be very playable even at max settings.

The case says it supports 290mm vga's and the gigabyte R9 is 285mm will there be a problem(space wise)

no, just will be "interesting" to route the cables all around the GPU (put the GPU in before you do any cable management to ensure clearance) you might end up having to buy some extenders to a cable or two, but probably not.

The cables for the psu are pretty long so i shouldn't have a problem with cable length

Then everything should be good, just be sure to cable tie the cords away from the case/gpu fans since they'll have to go over the side of the card not in front of it.

I don't quite understand what you are saying but i'll to run the cable through the back if it is long enough.
