HELP! CPU cooler question...

So I started my build today. I installed CPU no problem but I struggled with putting on the stock cooler. It was half on then I took it off for a few seconds... Will I need to re apply thermal paste? It's back on the motherboard now.

Well yeah, as I said I kind of had it on the CPU but the 4 pins just weren't pressing into the motherboard properly, I also didn't want to press on them too hard, was worried. I took the cooler off for literally about 3 seconds just to try and reset everything, then I saw the paste, and yeah. I put it on again straight away and it's properly attached to the motherboard now. Thanks
