So i was checking manuals and videos on youtube and most of the people install the fan on the ram's side. Is there a reason for that or I can just install my single fan on the other side?

Solution
For the best cooling on a hyper 212, you should do a push pull config, with the 2 fans both blowing toward your exhaust fan(one on each side of the cooler). With a single fan, either push or pull should give you about the same temp, so do whichever is easiest for you.

The fan is pretty easy to move.
Try it both ways and monitor the temperatures. Then decide for yourself which is a better setup.

I believe you will find that pushing the air from the RAM side through (towards the rear case fan) will yield a cooler CPU.
