ok so i have a pal who stays in denmark and hes been talking about joining me in the world of PC gaming.

he has asked me to hit him with a few ideas for a rig, and have been told no expense spaired lol

so im not the greatest at this seeing as i ended up with an i3 lol

just wondering your opinions. he wants it to look nice aswell as be best he can get to try and future proof it as much as possible.

he doesnt want some mad hyper 2000£ machine though just a good solid performer for maybe 1000-1500

would be a reall help as im well under qualified for this stuff lol

what about the 1333mhz RAm should it not be 1600 or 1866 MHz at least as obv its faster.

and 1000w is overkill for 1 gpu is it notthe rest looked good tho

jnjnilson6

Distinguished

1333 MHz is absolutely fast enough, but if you want, of course, you can get RAM with higher speed (You still won't find 8 GB DDR3 RAM for $29.00 - 17.71£ like the one I chose). You shouldn't consider 1000W an overkill, 7990 is a dual GPU (made of 2 x HD 7970), so 1000W is definitely my recommendation + the components must have some Wattage to breathe in. Good luck! : )

Btw, don't worry! I have fixed the links and they are now working on my first post!

that looks like a very nice build and in budget aswell, only thing ive been thinking is the guys going to be even more of a noob than me lol so XFor SLI i think he should maybe stay away from at first as i know you can have alot of diffuculty with that compaired to just a single GPU. So maybe that build there but with the 7990 6gb card you suggested yesterday could be a good idea

I suggested you the HD 7990, not lxgoldsmith!
