Would a 1155 Slot CPU Fit in a 1150 slot?

I just ordered a Core-i7 3770K with a 1155 slot, and I just realized the mobo I just ordered has a 1150 slot. Will the mobo/CPU work together or should I get a mobo entirely??

No, because 1155 CPUs have 1155 pins on them and 1150 motherboards are for CPU's with 1150 pins. It will break your CPU and/or your motherboard.

Just use a pair of pliers to pull out 5 random pins, then use a mallet to force the CPU into the socket.

All kidding aside, you should either get a socket 1155 motherboard or a socket 1150 CPU.

I got an idea........ tack the processor use a jack hammer and just forcefully get it in there.... it will then fit but the computer will not work.............Just get a 4th gen processor.
