Hi,

I want to upgrade my old GTX 570, but I'm wondering if I buy a GTX 780, will it cause a bottleneck with my CPU (Core i5 2500K @ 3.30 GHz) ?

My motherboard is a ASUS P8P67 Pro

Thank you !

The 2500k is still nearly the best gaming CPU out there. Now, it certainly will bottleneck a 780 in some situations, especially at it's stock settings, but if you're willing to overclock you'll be just fine.

What frequency do you think I can achieve with my CPU if I buy a Corsair H75 liquid cooler with my new GPU ?

You should be able to hit 4.5GHz on any decent aftermarket cooler. After that it depends too much on you chip to say for certain, but it's not unheard of to hit 4.8 GHz on a basic LCS like the H75, or even a 212 like geofelt said.

I'm still loving my i5 2500k with my mainstream 2GB GTX 660 card , Ive only running mine at 4GHZ with a hyper 212 evo cooler and it flies and does every i could ask it to do , its still a little overkill for the games i play, Metro last light and Battlefield 3 are my current most demanding games i run on it lol. Not to mention ive never seen it over 45 c on my Asus P8Z77-vlx motherboard.
