My gig is basicly a modified HP DX7400 containing:
~MSI 0AB8-->original in DX7400
~Core2Duo E6550(2,33)-->original in DX7400
~3GB DDR2 RAM-->2GB retail, 1GB added
~HDD 250GB,320GB(i guess those dont matter)
~LCPower 500W PSU
~HD6770 ATM, previouslly 8800GT(died from overheating), 9800GT

The thing is, that i ran the 5870 2 weeks ago and the card was doing fine for some time, but it had an issue of dying every some time, sometimes it lasted for 3 hours, sometimes it died in 15 minutes and i had to shut down the PC, reconnect the DVI cable, reseat it in the PCI-e slot and it worked aggain.

Because the card was dead, i decided to "bake" it, so i put in in the oven, and the card got fixed, but i can't run it ever since. I know the card works because it worked on my friend's gig 2h ago.
I don't know his gig, but I know he has a 600W LCPower PSU, but i doubt this could be the problem because the card worked fine on 500W before.

Hope u guys can help me, feel free to ask for more infos.

P.S. which is the best and simple to use GPU stress program?

EDIT: After looking at the PSU aggain, i saw i gave you the wrong information. My PSU is 550W-->http://www.lc-power.de/index.php?id=213&L=1%27

Are you 100% sure ? because when i click the power button it doesn't do anything, not even a fan spins.
The problem is that i played games on this card with the same PSU 2 weeks ago :S

Sounds off, this could be far fetched but it may be that your PSU has been deteriorating over time

Also having a little look at your PSU, it seems to be a decent unit from a german manufacturer

Also, decent GPU stress tests you could look at are Furmark and MSI Kombustor

Yeah, altho I don't know how, but it died on the way from my friend's PC to my(about 1m apart)...I guess there were some pretty extreme conditions durning the transport
