Building a system this weekend for my parents. There will not be a video card in it now, just using the integrated graphics. The motherboard has an 8 pin and a 24 pin connector, does it matter which I use or do I use both? I'm guessing from reading the motherboard manual I need to use both but don't want to blow the board because I guessed.

Here's the build, in case you need to know to answer the question:

You use both! 24 pin powers the board the 8 pin the CPU!
