I do not know what to do Ik laptops are not good for gaming but its all I got for now I need to know what to get to get this new laptop up to play Rome Total War 2 SImCity an the other Total war games. Im 18 an my mom has already order this laptop with out me even knowing. 2.0GHz AMD quad-core A6-5200 8G RAM Radeon HD 8400. Its the last xmas gift shes geting me and Im also getting ready to in roll into the army I have ever had a good computer for pc games in my life so plz tell what to get for this thing to make it a gaming laptop. At least to med settings on both will be happy with that. Also Money wise I think I can put at least 300 to 400$ into it.

simcity i could see working but amd a6 5200 isnt really a gaming...

Simply because it`s a A6-5200 APU means your stuck with what you got.

High end gaming laptops support an extra Mini Pci-e express card slot for the addition of a high end gpu.

The A6 is a cpu and combined Gpu in one package that runs from the cpu socket of the laptop board.
Though it can be removed, It would be pointless because most laptops are designed to work with heat values and dissipation.

It should work ok though, it will just mean having to lower the game graphics settings a bit in each game.
Or spending more money on a true gaming laptop.

Like I said run of the mill Laptops with A6 Amd chips no.

A laptop that states it is a true gaming one will have an additional add in Mini Pcie card slot so a better Gpu can be fitted by expansion card. or may be upgraded at some point.

To be honest your looking at around $1000 or more for a true gaming laptop.
Alien ware, dell are what you should be looking at.

But be pre paired to pay big bucks.

simcity i could see working but amd a6 5200 isnt really a gaming laptop it uses the weaks cpu cores my opinion wait for kaveri apu laptops 2014 since its to late and shes ordered it
