I've just recently started buying hardware to build my first computer. I asked my father to find some ram for me on cyber Monday while I was at work and he got me a 2x4gb set of viper patriot ram. My hardware so far is -

ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD FD8320FRHKBOX FX-8320 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition

Now my only concern is the front of the box of my viper ram says designed for intel 6/7/8 series platforms. The webpage says it supports intel and amd platforms but this makes me nervous. Please forgive me if this is a stupid question and if linking the hardware info from the webpage was excessive. I wanted to be sure anyone reading had all the info needed. Just want to be positive this is compatible before I start building. Thanks to anyone who answers in advance. (Every other piece of hardware I've researched and bought myself)

It will work, don't worry about it.
Enjoy your new computer.

Start your build and that's it. No compatibility issues that I can see but i'm not super i.t. smart.
