So the NZXT G10 was released less than two weaks ago, and this is truly amazing.

The temperature on a 780 on full load, basically in half...
After I see some reviews of this setup, it will be definitely something to consider.

My real question is, I ordered a EVGA ACX Cooler 03G-P4-2784-KR GeForce GTX 780 on Monday, still packaging, but that gives me time to think, rather than tearing that baby right out of the box as soon as I get it. I was about to place my order, and five minutes after adding the R9 290 to my cart, sold out -.-... I then figured, all these savings on everything else, I might as well step my game up and get the 780, which I did.

My question now is, with those numbers on the 780 with the G10 and X40, would getting the 290 along with those components have been a better deal? Does anyone know of a test with them and the 290, cause I sure as hell couldn't find one. With those temps, that leaves SOO MUCH OC HEADROOM on the 780, but the higher temp running 290, that is the question, can it tackle that beast? Can we expect the temp numbers on that card to be as significant?

In the end, my question comes down to one main point. Should I return the 780 for refund, buy the g10, a AIO water cooler, and a 290, or should I keep the 780 and get those down the line.

I am just very confused, and tired.
Back and forth we go... Back and forth we go...

You will be pleased with either choice.
I own (2) 03G-P4-2784-KR @ 993mhz/1052mhz (flashed EVGA hydro copper bios) and only see 70*C+ in heaven & OCCT stress benches. Never in gaming @ ultra @1920-1080, with stock paste.

I could have sworn at stock clock with this cooler it ran at ~65-70 at max load, maybe I miss read it or it was a different EVGA cooler. Thanks for the response though, it is just such a hard decision.

Ok, thanks for the response, I think I will stick with the 780, nvidia has always seemed like a better company to me, and this should be a huge step over my 5770 currently installed.
