Build specifics: AZRock Extreme4 Z87, i7-4770k. GTX780 if it matters.
I have 4x4gb each of the following memory sticks available - I'll be keeping one set and returning the other. Prices were nearly identical so that doesn't factor in.
I know Intel wants no more than 1.5V (+/-5%) for JDEC profiles, but certifies a number of 1.65V for XMP profiles with Haswell. I couldn't find that specific memory listed on Intel's "approved" list[1] but there are certainly plenty there.
Will I see any noticeable performance bump from the 2133 memory running at 1.6-1.65V vs the 1866 at the "safer" 1.5v? Or should I stick with the 1866 and enjoy? FWIW, I don't plan on going for a massive overclock on my processor, probably only 4.1-4.3ghz depending on silicone lottery - going for a very stable build rather than pushing the limits. Oh, and I'm a noob when it comes to RAM overclocking.
