Hey community, have an old 5 year old or so PC with no upgrades. Games are starting to lag and I want to upgrade the graphics card but have no idea how to go about this.

I have a hpe-510f

those are the specs and I am going to need help understanding graphics cards. Will I need to upgrade anything else? What are my options?

you biggest problem is the psu 300W. best you can hope for is that a hd7750 will run ok on it. most likely it will since you replace the current card and it's not using a ton more power.

if the normal card fits in the case get that one, if not go for the low profile version.

Thank you for the advice Laviniu, but what exactly is the psu 300w? And I just looked at the ASUS HD7750 , will it be as simple as removing the old card and installing the new one? I appreciate your insight, thanks again.

the power supply on the old pc (the one where the power cord goes in). it can deliver up to300W according to the spec. for that maximum the radeon hd 7750 is your best card.

yes. it's as simple as that. if you have problems you will have to reinstall your card drivers but it can work with the old ones too:
