Both my 15.6" laptop and my 24" monitor are 1080p, but windows seems to know that the 24" is bigger and makes the start screen icons smaller, so they have more rows of icons in the same column and mess up my order of icons.
All I want is to see the same thing on the same pixels, no matter how large each pixel is. I can't find a setting to disable this annoying "feature". Windows won't let me duplicate the displays when the laptop is closed; instead it turns off laptop display and only shows display on monitor, and since it's not duplicating displays then it has an excuse to screw up the start screen.
