Transfer Driver Config from One PC to Another

Several of my PC's have the annoying 'MTP Driver Installation Failed' issue when connecting smartphones via USB cable.

After extensive troubleshooting (I've tried everything out there), I 'fixed' the issue by doing a reformat of one of the PC's and installing nothing but the bare essentials (Motherboard & VGA Drivers, Samsung USB Drivers).

Rather than doing a reformat on several PC's I would like to transfer these working drivers and configuration files over to the non-working PC's which are all running 64 bit versions of Windows 7.

Does anyone have any experience doing this?

Note that simply copying over the drivers using a program like Double Driver failed to resolve the issue as I still get the 'MTP Driver Installation Failed' issue on the affected PC's. I believe the related registry keys will also have to be addressed.

Copying driver files isn't the same as installing a driver. When you install an application, it does more than just create files, including creating registry entries. Simply copying files from machine to machine doesn't do that. You'll need to install the needed software.

The drivers have of course been installed on all machines. However, something not specific to the phone(s)' drivers is preventing windows from initialising the drivers correctly across several machines.

I believe it is very possible to resolve this by copying over the configurations/registry keys and files related to mtp drivers from a working pc. I simply don't know where to look.

I believe the problem is related to windows' generic mtp drivers and would be surprised if the motherboard drivers had anything at all to do with it.

Nevertheless, two of these computers are running on identical asrock motherboards so i would still be able to try this method on them to see if it fixes them (if not the rest of the pc's). One of these is the recently formatted pc with mtp working correctly.

I just need to know where to look for everything mtp to effectively try this fix.

Microsoft were of no help whatsoever so I thought I'd ask here.
