Several of my PC's have the annoying 'MTP Driver Installation Failed' issue when connecting smartphones via USB cable.
After extensive troubleshooting (I've tried everything out there), I 'fixed' the issue by doing a reformat of one of the PC's and installing nothing but the bare essentials (Motherboard & VGA Drivers, Samsung USB Drivers).
Rather than doing a reformat on several PC's I would like to transfer these working drivers and configuration files over to the non-working PC's which are all running 64 bit versions of Windows 7.
Does anyone have any experience doing this?
Note that simply copying over the drivers using a program like Double Driver failed to resolve the issue as I still get the 'MTP Driver Installation Failed' issue on the affected PC's. I believe the related registry keys will also have to be addressed.
