Hey guys I was wondering which Cpu to get the fx-8350 is 200 and the fx -9370 with the amd water cooler is 220 so I'm kind of leaning towards that for 20 dollars more I have a 1000 watt power supply so tdp not really a problem also would the 9370 bottleneck a r9-290 or a r9-290x. Thanks for the help have great day

There is NO REASON to consider the 9370 above the 8350. Its just a revved up version that ends up costing way more than what you gain.

Its not the CPU that costs that much more, but the motherboard that you need to support the 9370. They are all premium boards that cost in access of 180$.

Just get the 8350 and overclock it yourself if you really want to. The AMD liquid cooler is not even good by any means.

And neither of those CPUs will bottleneck any cards.

Hi, just thought I'd throw my 2 cents out there, I'm no pro at this stuff, but I just bought and returned the 9370 and ended up with 8350
and am MUCH happier.

The 9370 ran around 55c when my computer was idle and then jumped up to about 70c when playing battlefield 4, luckily I was paying attention to my cpu temps. I immediately shut down, let it cool down, and took it back and came home with the 8350.

It overclocked to 4.3 and ran under max load at 28c which is half the temp. Not to mention it requires half the power. I have a corsair H80 cooling system and it still ran that hot so just be aware of that as well, you might end up having to fork out more cash as well for a cooling system if you don't already have it.

Anyways, performance wise the 8350 actually felt a lot smoother to me than the 9370, it also bumped my fps in BF4 up to around 70-90 constant on high graphics, where as with the 9370 I had to run on medium and it was still chugging around 40-60fps.

So in my non professional opinion, the lower temps and power consumption of the 8350 trump the 9370(not to mention it feels like it performs better) Okay that's all I got, good luck!

I already bought the 9370 and it's in my build with the water cooler that came with it I'm almost done cabling and can't return the 9370 so I hope it doesn't run that hot because I'm stuck with it

It will run hot, and 55c is nothing to concern over, at all... He probably had a bad chip or something, I dunno. They are pretty damn similar over all. The 9370 actually uses LESS power then the 8350, so again, im unsure what was wrong with his chip.

all in all the 9370 outperforms the 8350 in every way.

computer nerds always seem to be scared of simple power tools..

Go buy 2 rubber grommets, and drill a hole. Insert the grommet, and then you route out the tubes to where you want.

I would have to drill a 4 inch hole to fit that hose through and that's just gonna look bad there's already water cooling tube holes but I was wondering I I could take the off the radiator run them through and put the back on
