Hi everybody.

So. Yesterday i installed my new gpu, and it seemed really good. I went dirrectly in to BF4, and geforce experience optimized my settings from low(gtx 550) to ultra(gtx760). I played bf on full speed for around 4 hours.
I went to bed, and started up the machine today. When i started it, it freezed on homescreen. So, after 10-15 sec on deskopscreen, it just stopped responding. Same issue is still there after several hours.

Things i tried:
1. Running in safemode = it runs without problems.
2. Deleted gpu drivers. / add new one / reinstalled driver.
3. Checked that my psu is strong enough. / it should be. !? (see picture)
4. Unplugged all unnecessary cabels, such usb harddrives and so.
5. I used a 8pin converter as used on picture. Could that be a problem? (See Picture)

Have i forgot anything, with installing the new gpu?
I just find it a bit strange, that i could do gaming yesterday on high settings.

My setup is:
CPU: Intel i5 3570k 3.4GHz
MOBO: Asrock Z77 Pro 4
RAM: Kingston HyperX Genesis 8Gb
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 760
Harddisk: Samsung 840 Pro 256Gb SSD
Screen: Samsung T260 26"
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
PSU: Energon 750w

The GTX 760 requires 30Amps on the +12V Rail. Seeing as you have two rails each with only 20A on each rail this could be your problem, I'm amazed you were able to play BF4 for so long. My suggestion is getting a PSU with a strong +12V Rail and a good amount of amps.

seeing as you have a 750W you'll want a good 750W equivelant so I'd suggest
The HX 750w: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139012
Its currently out of stock for where I live could be different for you idk but if it is the
HX 650W will do fine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139012

these are very well built PSUs and should last you a long time

There really isnt anything wrong with getting large PSUs(in terms of wattage) it's proper planning if you buy the right high wattage PSU though. It can save you from buying a new PSU in case you wanna SLI/Crossfire or Overclock or maybe add a couple fans to your case oh and I forgot some HDDs. Watercooling as well could go in that category.
We just use the term 'overkill' for situations like that.

The HX 650W will do you just fine and room to overclock if you want aswell. Any quality 650W PSU will do you great, XFX,TX series,Seasonic and maybe EVGA.

P.S remember to choose the best answer, help out those in need for questions like this also helps the person who answers.

Sorry for the late reply, I answered the previous message before I went to school and I just got back

P.S thanks alot for including pictures it allowed me to address the situation quickly without further discussion and getting your question answer more quickly :D need more picture friendly people like you

Okay. Great information. I just thought, that the overkill would do me good. But the amp's is also important i see.

Hehe, more easy with showing pictures, than explaining ;)

Thanks for your help.

I will surf around for a new psu - maybe find one that are a bit cheaper than the HX650.

The CX 600 would do you good, its around $79 and has enough watts and amps to supply your 760, just don't overclock with it. The CX series are made for mid-range builds and the 760 is a mid-build GPU

glad I could be of help
