Hey guys, I am currently experiencing some difficulty setting up the graphics for my newly built PC.

Here is my build:
Intel Core i5 4670k
Gigabyte GTX 780 OC
Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM
MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Motherboard

Currently, I am using an old Samsung TV as a monitor, which only supports up to 1440x900 resolution. I have the computer connected using a HDMI cable through the graphics card, and that seems to work fine. But here is the problem.

After I installing any Nvidia graphics drivers rebooting, my monitor gives me "HDMI - Mode not supported" after the starting Windows logo. although I can hear the Windows start up sound..

I have tried installing the drivers from the CD, downloading the latest drivers from Nvidia, running Driver Sweeper and performing a clean installation in Safe Mode. After each of these attempts, it would give me the same message, and I'd have to reboot into Safe Mode to uninstall the drivers before I'm load Windows normally.

I also seem to experience another slight problem. Whenever I try plugging the HDMI cable into the motherboard's port, it just says "No signal" on my screen.

Also, I'm not sure if this helps, but when I boot up normally, it gives me the message that the Standard VGA Graphics Adapter has been installed, and when I go into Screen Resolution, it says my display is on "Generic Non-PnP Monitor on Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".

Sorry for the long read, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Seems like it was just a problem with my monitor. I just switched over to another TV I had lying around and it worked perfectly. As for the motherboard port not working, you just have to disconnect the graphics card and pull it out from your PC before you can use the port.
