will amd fx 8350 work on asrock 970 extreme 3 rev.2 Mb?

I'm thinking amd fx 8350 on a cheap asrock 970 extreme 3 rev. 2(the cpu it's on the list) will I be able to overclock just a bit with this Mb or it will fry/ crash? thank you! what value can I reach stock cooling. thank you in advance!

It likely will not be easy, and will be a crap-shoot.

You just missed the FX8320 for $130 - keep an eye out for another price deal (point being, the extra $$ could go toward a more 'worry-free' stable over-clocking mobo)

edit: I just checked -- it sold out at the Egg :lol: (I should have bought more than one!) but there are some on Amazon at that price.

You might save enough cash for some after-market cooling, too.
