okay heres the deal. I thought about buying a new laptop but i dont know wich one: 1. asus rog g750Jh, Intel Core i7 (4. Gen) 4700HQ, 32gb ram, 750 GB / 5400 rpm and a gtx 780m 2. asus g750jx with the same processor, 16 gb ram, 750gb hdd / 7200 rpm and 256 GB SSD, and a gtx 770m. The thing that really bothers me is number 1 only have a 750gb 5400rpm number 2 is 7200 rpm and with a ssd. My problem is that number 2 is at my budget number 1 is abit higher but i will go there. But then i have no money to upgrade the HDD or ssd into number 1. Ive seen the big difference between 5400 and 7200 its actually amazing how much faster 7200 does it.

1 + a separate ssd would be my choice. you get also double the ram and a better graphics. it's easier to add an ssd than it is to change the graphics on a laptop.

if the hdd ends up being used only for storage (os on ssd) the 5400 versus 7200 is meaningless.

my comment above still stands. btw, do not confuse the gtx780m with the gtx 780 desktop version. they are not the same card. not by far (m variant is not even the same model and slower. same for 770m versus 770).

both laptops will do ok in games.

as said, i would go for the 780m and more ram and add a ssd after a while if i can't afford it now. if you want the ssd from the start then get the other one.

also, no options to get the ssd+5400rpm instead of 7200 and in exchange get the better graphics :D?
