PC crashing, unsure if this is a driver problem

So i recently upgraded my pc about two weeks ago and everything was running fine.

System specs: I7 3770K CPU @ 3.5Ghz
Palit Jetsteam GTX 770
Corsair 750W Psu
6GB of ram (sorry i dont know specifically which ram it is)
Asus P8z77- V Lx motherboard
Windows 7 home premium 64 bit
(If i've left anything out i apologise im new to this sort of thing)

Anyway, for the past few days it has suddenly crashed at random times with the screen freezing and audio looping constantly and the only way to fix it is to force restart the pc. Sometimes it recovers and says "display driver has failed but recovered" which has lead me to believe this is a problem with my new gpu. I have tried a few different drivers but it still crashes. I was wandering if anyone else has had this problem or has a potential solution. Any help would be appreciated.

even i had those kind of issues while i played assassin's creed 3...try upgrading to a stable display driver...if it doesnt solve that then run with integrated graphics to see whether your gpu is faulty...

What driver would you suggest that is stable?

Sorry for the late response, but the problem just seemed to vanish all of a sudden and i've no incidents since. Also i completely forgot to roll back the drivers so to answer your question no.
