Slow internet speeds when connected through router Linksys EA3500

I have a Cisco Linksys EA3500 router connected between my Rogers modem and my computer. When I do a speed test (using http://speedcheck.rogers.com), which appears to be reliable, I get download speeds of about 23 Mbps. When I bypass the router I get speeds of about 41 Mbps. I get these results consistently. I've tried different cables, different ports and have disabled the firewall settings on the router. Firmware is updated as well. I know there are a number of similar posts out there, but none have provided a solution. Anyone have suggestions?

Some people have solved the slow speed issue by disabling the whole QoS option which can be found in application and gaming i believe. Just search other parts of the settings if you don't find it there. Let me know if it makes any improvements
