Hey guys, I am trying to clean up some of the cables in my case and have a few questions on what cable configuration is safe to use on the GTX 760. The card natively has a 6 pin + 8 pin configuration for power. I am currently running a Corsair 760i PSU and it came with a cable that had 6+2 & 6+2 pins all in one line. The issue I have with this is that the cables have to be bent around to mate up with the GPU pins, putting a good bit of stress on the GPU's connectors (not a fan of this even though it likely will not cause problems). Can I safely run a single 6+2 pin cable to the 8 pin GPU connector AND run a separate 6 pin power connector to the 6 pin GPU connector?!?! This would mean that there would effectively be 2 separate power cables running to the GPU.

I have seen various pictures of what looks like separate cables running to each connector on the GPU, and that is ultimately what I would like to replicate for the sake of cleanliness. Are they simply running extensions from a split cable that is hidden in the back of the case?

Thanks in advance for your replies!

ALSO: is there a way for me to post pictures in the forum? Rather new here.

Yes that is fine, I had not seen a split PCI cable like you mention, but on my PC I had to run two separate PCI cables from my PSU, each being a 6+2.

Yes you can safely run two separate cables to those connections. I believe that you have two cables with your PSU that each have 2 x 6+2 pins.
