0X8007045D fresh install error.

Today i got two new parts for my PC, I promptly put them into the pc and then used my windows disk to format my drive to do a fresh install. then when installing it gave the error "0x8007045D" and I've no idea what to do. My HDD is fine.

Specs:

intel i5 3570
AMD HD 6850
8GB Corsair XMS3 ram at 1333mhz
Seagate Barracude @7200rpm.

Once I get to the install, it refuses to go past 0% on expanding windows files.

Any help would be appreciated and other information given on request.

Yes thank you, i have done that. A lot of the solutions also already require you to have the OS installed which as I have already formatted I do not.

so you are either not installing from a proper cd/dvd/usb or the hdd is bad or you're not formatting completely on install. click the advanced drive options button when is asks where to install it. delete all partitions and recreate a system partition and install to that. make it 100-200gb in size for safety

Thank you I will try this, could this be an issue because my windows 7 disk is from dell? If i copied a clean iso on to an external HD could that work?

nope the iso on the external won't work. you need to burn it to a dvd as image or set it up on a bootable usb. i wont sent a third lmgtfy :) but you get the point, right?

Yeah I do thank you. If I got through the same steps with an external HD using diskpart would it work?

Just using the external as a bootable usb? only way I can do it really as I don't have a usb with a large enough capicity.

i will work yes, but then you lose all the data on the external. that's why i didn't want to suggest it. try with formatting the old drive from the dell dvd win7 first and from a new dvd burnt now. and use this iso on the external drive only as a last resort.
