Hi, just a quick question, after some research on the Asus website regarding the P9X79 deluxe motherboard memory compatibility, I thought I would put the question below to the community:

Does the P9X79 Deluxe Support this particular ram: CMZ16GX3M2A1866C10?

It doesn't specifically say on the memory compatibility list so I was wondering if the community might know?

Many thanks,
AJ

Yes, you'll be running in dual channel as opposed to the native Quad channel of the mobo/CPU combo and don't worry about QVLs they are basically pretty worthless and can be very deceiving as the DRAM is tested at the mobos default (often 1333 not the true freq of the DRAM, i.e. say you buy 2400 DRAM, it's been tested and will work at 1333, but say it's a AMD mobo - they don't have any CPUs that can reliably run 2400 sticks - at least at 2400.
