Will This Gaming Rig Work?

hi this is for my friend who is building a computer for Christmas just like me! he is putting his life savings toward this computer and he asked me to check if it worked. please do not answer if you are not 100%sure that it works. I do not want suggestions on how to make it better but just an answer


Case: NZXT Phantom 410
CPU: Ivy Bridge i7 3770k overclocked to 4.6ghz quad core
Heatsink: Arctic cooling Freezer 13
Memory: Ddr3 1600mhz 8gb
GPU: Geforce 660 2g OC TwinFrozr
Motherboard: Asus p8z77-v LX intel z77
PSU: Corsair 650w
HDD: 1tb WD
OS: Windows 8.1
Optical Drive: Samsung 24x

everything is good except i would opt for a much stronger graphics card you're pairing a 660 with a 3770k which will work but everything will be bottlenecked by the 660. if your friend could put in more money for the graphics card i would suggest at least an r9 280x

Use socket 1150

A 4670K
a mb with a Z87 chipset
The arctic cooling cooler is not very good . Use a CM Hyper 212
The RAM should be a dual channel kit , 2 x4 gig , 1600 MHz , rated 1.5 volts or less
You should be able to afforst at least a GTX 760 in that same budget and maybe Radeon R280x
