After reading a lot about overclocking i figured that i would give it a try.
I followed this guys guide (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CHs5_TdpXE)
and did all the preparation.
After the preparation I started setting core ratio to 46 and cpu core voltage to 1.200v but makes my pc was booting up at windows blue technical error screen.

- Okay, perhaps my cpu wasn't in the top league. Then a sat core ratio to 44 and cpu core voltage to 1275v. Then the pc booted just perfectly and i did some stability tests such as Aida64 and P95 and they couldn't detect any problems. After the tests i oc'ed my gpu with asus gpu tweak.
- Then it was time to test the performance.
So i started BF4 and i instant lag appeared. The were no big FPS drop the game just lagged like there were some thing wrong with my internet connection.
I checked the internet connection but there was nothing wrong.
So i set my bios to default and gpu settings back to default but the lag didn't disappear.

What have I done wrong and why does clearing cmos have no effect ?

My rig:
Maximus Formula VI
Asus GTX 780 oc
i7-4007k
8gb RAM
SSD 840 EVO
and I'm running 32-bit windows 7 home

Solution

I have found the problem :D - it was my mPCIe Combo II With Wi-Fi... it gives massive drops in download speed.

- Back to overclocking, thanks for the help ;)

its clearly not something you did in bios thats why clearing cmos has no effect, check drivers, other than that see if its in other games aswell try some other game if there is no lag there than its something wrong with your bf4
