I have an Q6600 G0 cpu.
An ASUS P5Q PRO motherboard.
An Coolmaster S200 cpu cooler.

So regarding the temperatures.

Q6600 @ 2.4 GHZ (stock bios frecs etc) I have around 33 degrees in Idle and about 50 degrees in full load after about 2 hours.

Q6600 @ 3.0 GHZ (FSB 333,Vcore 1.32, ram @ 667 Mhz, speedstep disabled) I have around 35-40 degrees in idle and about 100 (ONE HUNDRED) degrees in full load after about 5 minutes.
This happens even at 2.5 GHZ or 2.7 GHZ (well maybe about 90-95 degrees. I have tested the temperatures with core temp, real temp, hwinfo and speedfan, ALL OF THEM report the same.

I previously owned an E8200 Which ran for almost 1.5 years at 3.7 GHZ with temps no higher than 60 degrees.

I find this problem very strange since the moment I start overclocking it the temperatures in load ALMOST DOUBLE. This shouldn't be happening and I do not find this normal, even with the stock cooler at 2.7 you would get less than 95 degrees. I am using arctic silver thermal compound , I am 100% sure that I mounted the cpu cooler correctly and that this is not my fault (I have about 8 years of experience with pc's and overclocking and never encountered this issue)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, also I can provide any other details, just request them.

Thank you and have a nice day :)

I'm not nearly as experienced as you but I'll provide a post if only to bump the thread lol

Are those the tightest settings you could get for a 3.0Ghz clock? I've seen Q6600s clock to 3.0 with a lower Vcore before, so if it's possible for you to lower it to 1.3 or under then I would say try it.

Since you're positive you applied the thermal and heatsink properly the only other suggestion I could raise is maybe airflow in the case?
