alright their was some paper like stuff on the one side of the back plate got dmaged druuing shiping is this this alright?

well i didn't see a piece of paper when he installed his backing plate, so im assuming its ok unless it was there to insulate the metal from the board.

Test fit the backing plate and see if it contacts any solder points on the motherboard.

Well if you have electrical tape, ypu could use that to cover the contacts instead.
