Is the Samsung 840 EVO good for gaming

So I've been looking into an SSD to go along with my HDD. I've been doing a bunch of research as I have never paid attention to performance storage. I know the EVO is highly rated by users and reviewers, but everything as far as stats and performance is starting to blur together for me. I know some drives suffer when writing incompressible data, which games have a lot of. So for OS and gaming is the EVO the best solution at $165. Or am I just putting in way too much thought and should just pull the trigger on the EVO because it's a solid drive.

for games they are not so important. it will however make you pc seem faster on any daily basis tasks. only sandforce ssd-s have the compressible thing- and it's not a problem, it's a plus - they handle compressible data better. samsungs use another controller.

i have a ssd in every pc i use and own and i wouldn't go back to a normal hdd pc.

Well currently I play a lot of BF4 and it takes minutes to load maps between each game, so an SSD would be a huge plus if it can load the maps in 10 secs or less and I've read forums where people with SSDs say they load extremely quickly and others that say it still takes them minutes to load.
