Hello! I have a friend who works on programming paste and "pick-and-place" machines at an electrical board building company. His job is stressful from all the work, and the fact he needs windows 7 makes it even more so as a feature he finds incredibly convenient is not in it. He uses a software (MYcam i believe, if it matters) that on XP, when he opens a board on it, it will stay on that folder when he opens a new board on that program. On windows 7, it reverts back to the first folder. If someone could please tell me how i can make his windows 7 have that feature, it would be very greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

If he browses for a program to open the file, there should be a check box to "Open all files of this type..".
The association has to be made between file type and program.

Well the thing is, he needs to be able to access the folder just by clicking "open" in the program he uses, he feels he shouldn't have to right click, open with, etc etc etc, and the fact that nobody knows of a software to make it work how he wants it to is a tad depressing. I would have thought somebody would have made something to give you some features from the magnificent XP </3
