Hi,
Is it ok to plug a single 200mm fan to the fan header on the motherboard. Its a CM storm trooper case and the fan is spinning at 1000rpm using asus fan2 software. I am trying to get away from the CM storm troopers built in fan controller as it seems to be making odd noises.

thanks

Yes, it is fine.
But if you want proof; look up how many amps (or watts) does the fan draw at max, and from the motherboard's manual how many amps (or watts) does the fan header supply.
