First time putting together a PC but I think I did everything right. However, when I plug the PC in (battery light comes on) and press start, it does nothing beyond that the CPU fan starts to spin, the optical drive does 2 short beeps, but the computer does not start up after that. The monitor says 'DVI Display Not Found' or 'VGA Display Not Found' and does nothing. Monitor works fine, I've tried it with my laptop and it worked straight off.

I have no idea what to do from here, please help? I took it as a good sign that the cooler fan started spinning (and does not stop) but... what am I supposed to do now? Obviously I have not installed the OS yet but it is supposed to go into BIOS from here, correct?

Could I get a short list of specific connections to check, as well? Nothing lights up on the mobo beyond a LED at the bottom (above the P-LED +/- connectors) but I am deathly afraid I've screwed this up.

I've tried connecting the monitor to both the VGA and DVI ports on the mobo, and the ports on the GPU itself. Still nothing.

Stupid question but the mobo came with a small speaker for it. Where do I plug that into on the mobo? I can't find anything directly stating where in the mobo manual.
